Property insurers and other partic­i­pants in real estate markets need the best information they can get about the actual condition — and vulner­a­bility to climate risk — of the properties they’re under­writing. Cape Analytics uses satellite and aerial imagery, property data, and machine learning to assess a property’s condition; it can also measure vegetation density, roof materials, and other factors to assess the risk of damage from wildfires, wind, and hail.
