Embark equips tractor-trailers with sensors and software to let them haul cargo autonomously between transfer points abutting interstate highways. Embark’s software recon­structs the geometry of the road from prebuilt maps, live camera images, and other sensor data; vehicles deal with wildcards such as lane diversions in part through maps that are updated and shared between trucks in real time.
